I have been a registered practicing social worker for 19 years and have had the opportunity to work with children and families in various capacities. As a case manger, assessor, and counsellor with experience working in government, healthcare, mental health and schools I am passionate about helping with a strengths-based perspective.
With a master’s degree in social work from the University of Dalhousie I have training in family systems theory, play therapy, solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and narrative therapy. We will work together to determine the best approach for you, your child/teen and/or your family to address issues of concern.
I enjoy working with many issues of concern as children grow including parent teen conflict, loss of a loved one, divorce, attachment, anxiety, depression, inattention and family transitions.
